Mr. Cohen is a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He is the Director of Special Projects for the Department. He has served as the Director of the Child Study Center Clinic and Community Outreach Program in the Division of Pediatric Psychiatry, and as the Clinical Director of Arkansas CARES as well. His clinical work has focused on children and adolescents with ADHD, learning problems, and depression, and he has extensive experience in school consultation. He cofounded an ongoing support group for parents, teachers, and children living with or working with individuals with ADHD. He has also sponsored support groups for new teachers in the North Little Rock School District, and serves as an advisor to the Little Rock School District, with which he is working to pilot the Communities in Schools program, which helps to bring community resources into the school setting.
Mr. Cohen received his B.S. in psychology and his M.S.
in clinical psychology (child clinical specialty) from Memphis State University.
He is licensed as a psychological examiner in Arkansas.
