Ms. Burnette is currently an administrator at Partners for Inclusive Communities and has previously been a project director for many of their projects involving services for individuals with developmental disabilities. She received her M.A. in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1979. She has been employed at Partners since 1992. Her previous positions include Assistant Director at Developmental Disabilities Services, project director for the Behavior Resource Intensive Training Project, and supervisor of the Arkansas Special Education Resource Center. Karan has provided hundreds of trainings across the state and country regarding autism spectrum disorders. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Autism Society.
