Ms. Lindsey is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Continuing Medical Education (CME) in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She has taught family practice residents since 1978, and is a recognized authority on creative and innovative teaching techniques. She began the first interactive television public education program for UAMS in 1995. She is co-chair of the UAMS Educational Distance Learning Task Force, and serves on the Campus Committee on Telemedicine as well. She is a Co-Investigator for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) grant "Partners in Health Sciences" (NIH-SEPA #R25-RR2346; E. Robert Burns, Ph.D., Principal Investigator). Her clinical expertise is in the area of crisis intervention, and she is responsible for the development of social work services in the emergency rooms of many Little Rock-area hospitals.

 

Ms. Lindsey received her B.A. in psychology and sociology from Arkansas Polytechnic College and her M.S.W. (clinical concentration) from the Graduate School of Social Work at University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). She is certified by the National Association of Social Workers and is licensed in Arkansas.
