Dr. Anderson is a Professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UAMS. She serves as Attending Physician for the Pulmonary Ward service, Pulmonary Consult services and in the Medical Intensive Care Units at University Hospital and the Central Arkansas Veterans’ Healthcare System. She is also the Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program for Arkansas. She is Governor for Arkansas of the American College of Chest Physicians and is a member of that organization’s Task Force on Women and Girls, Tobacco, and Lung Cancer. Dr. Anderson is internationally known for her expertise in inhaled drug delivery and she is immediate Past-President of the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine.

 

 

For the past 20 years Dr. Anderson has done research on the behavior of inhaled particles in the lungs. She currently is Principal Investigator for a variety of clinical trials in the areas of asthma, COPD and smoking cessation. She has received several awards for teaching, and lectures on a variety of topics, including asthma, COPD, smoking cessation, inhaled drug and end-of-life care.
