Mr. Tanner is Coordinator of the Juvenile Ombudsman Division of the Arkansas Public Defender Commission. The Ombudsman Division serves as an independent monitor of conditions in the Division of Youth Services (DYS) of the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and provides advocacy services for juveniles involved in DYS. Mr. Tanner previously worked as a Community Service Representative at Baptist Health, providing support services for juvenile courts and other community agencies. He has also been a program administrator for the Corner Stone Project, a neighborhood-based after school program of the Little Rock School District, and a school-based case manager for New Futures for Little Rock Youth, an Annie E. Casey initiative. He received his B.A. in psychology from Hendrix college.
