Dr. Miller is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She is or has been an investigator for a number of federally- and locally-funded research projects focusing on developing methods for assessing, monitoring, and improving the quality of mental health care for children and adolescents. She has served as a consultant for school- and community-based programs for youth with emotional, behavioral, and learning problems. Her clinical work focuses on psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. Other areas of scientific and professional interest include cultural variations in help-seeking, service utilization, and quality of care for mental health problems; and education and training of mental health professionals.
Dr. Miller received her A.B. in psychology from Washington University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Kentucky. She completed a predoctoral internship at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute, postdoctoral training in psychological assessment and epidemiology of child and adolescent psychopathology in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Chicago, and an NIMH postdoctoral fellowship in mental health services research in the Centers for Mental Healthcare Research at UAMS. She is licensed as a psychologist in Arkansas.
