Partners in Behavioral Health Sciences (PIBHS) offered outreach programs to provide K-12 students with age-appropriate information about mental health and substance abuse problems. These programs, offered by means of interactive televideo (ITV) conferences, combined lecture-style presentations and interactive discussion forums with the use of innovative teaching methods such as skit performances by students from Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School. Presenters were faculty members at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

ITV access was offered at sites throughout Arkansas, and is free of charge for participants, who have included students from schools in other states (such as California and Montana) as well. Participating schools were reimbursed for some of the costs of transporting students to ITV sites. Access is provided through the UAMS Area Health Education Centers (AHECs), the UAMS Rural Hospital Affiliated Program, the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, and the Dawson Education Cooperative.
